Wireless Smart Thermostat Starter Kit V3+ with Hot Water Control

We originally purchased a Tado V3+ system so that we could switch on the Central heating system for our holiday home at the coast. We are both retired so we are at one location most of the time, therefore we don't use any of the fancy functions available, we just use the "set the central heating temperature" function via the app from afar so that the temperature is correct when we arrive.
We liked the system so much, we bought another system for our main home so that when we arrive at our main home, that is up to temperature.

The only slight issue I have is that after talking to the Tado customer services via email, you cannot have two Tado systems working on one phone on the same app, and you can't load two Tado apps onto one phone.

That's a real shame, it would be great to go onto the app on one account, select which Tado system you want to adjust, and then make a change, unfortunately you can't. After all, it's just software!

We ended up loading the app for our holiday home onto my phone, and then loading the app with a different account and email onto my wife's phone.

It's a work around.

Having said all of that, it is so easy to use, and if you don't use any of the functions apart from increasing or decreasing the temperature from your phone(s) via the app or locally via the thermostat, it's free to use.

I bought the Tado Wireless Smart Thermostat Starter Kit V3+ with Hot Water Control to replace the original Danfoss TP9000 with wired remote temperature sensor that controlled our Ideal Logic 15 boiler. The reason for the change was to take advantage of the more flexible control of the heating provided by the Tadoº App and the Geofencing feature to better suit our lifestyle since retiring. As the temperature sensor is now wireless, it also enabled me to site it in a more appropriate place without the hassle of rerouting or running new wiring.
The installation process guided me to download instructions specific to the boiler and controller combination that the Tadoº kit was going to replace. The wiring instructions were easy to follow as was the linking of the various elements of the kit to the Internet via my home router.
The final step in the process was to send a link to the Tadoº App for my wife so that not only can she control the heating from her phone, but also it ensures that the geofencing feature only switches off the heating when both of us are out of the house. A week into its use, its so far so good.

It is a decent thermostat, though not to smart as it doesn't learn the schedule. The geofencing doesn't work that well unless you have the gps on all the time. Also when the WiFi is off, the thermostat does not follow the schedule, unless you do it manually. The app does not use 2-ways authentication.
