Add-on Wireless Temperature Sensor

This is good for controlling more than one radiator in the room, but it does make the temperature sensor part of the TADO TRV’s pointless. Why doesn’t TADO do a smart valve that is only a slave to these controllers as they’d be cheaper?

Great addition to your system if you have adjoining rooms like a lounge/diner with multiple radiators but not segregated by doors. We have one to monitor the ambient temp across the entire room, and it provides much tighter control than the individual radiator stats, as there are no localised hot spot effects. I have deducted one star because of the very high cost for a simple temperature sender device.

I came here to purchase more of these units. I have installed about 30+ of them and all work perfectly. I usually don’t leave reviews but noticed this had one review and it was one star so wondered what it was. The other guys review has nothing to do with the product so isn’t helpful to anyone else looking to buy these.
All the tado products are great. Super easy to set up and very easy to use. Reasonably priced if you shop around or get the 50% discount from tado.
These wireless stats are great. Very slick and easy to control. Batteries last for ages - I’ve not had to replace any yet in two years. I’ve have set them up to control all sorts of heating systems from biomass to gas Combi boilers. All work seamlessly and have saved a fortune for ourselves and everyone who we installed for by not only giving them full control of every radiation with the smart TRVs but also protection for their properties from frost and dampness by ensuring every area is maintained by at least a minimum temp.
Each TRV can be set very easily to control the boiler also so if only one room gets cold or you only want to heat one radiator, it can bring the boiler on and only warm that space. This function alone can literally save hundreds of pounds per household let alone over the thousands of wasted heating the UK and Europe where they are installed.
For ‘older’ people. They can be set up to be very easy. Much easier than any old programmable thermostat and when they are set up you can leave them and not need to adjust them at all. They will learn themselves how long it takes to heat a room up so if you set them to 21 degrees at 8 am. They will learn that it takes 1.5 hours to get to that heat and come on 1.5 hours early to be at the right temp at that time.
If it’s for a family member you can keep an eye on them remotely to make sure they are warm and their heatings working.
If you are out of the house all day and you don’t come home at a constant time they easily set to have geofencing’ that will automatically come on when you head home or switch off when you leave the house.
If you have poor mobility and you usually set your boiler to come on for a few hours in the morning and then the evening, you can end up being too hot when it’s on and to cold when it’s off. Using the wireless thermostat you can have it with you loose on a coffee table or window sill and just adjust the temperature you want easily to turn the heating up Down on or off. You can also do it from your smart phone and it’s so easy to do!

Please don’t leave reviews like a 1 star for products that are great and can save people and the environment a lot of money and potentially save old people from being cold just because you sent the item back and the refund didn’t arrive quickly. You may endanger someone’s life that could be saved by putting them off a great product. Or you may just prevent a normal person making their life mush easier every day.

This is my second sensor following the first one failing. I decided to give the brand a second chance after it stopped working after two years.
I would like to see a glass led display with a dial that helps control the temperature.
